¡"The
ideas in "Productive Meetings" were
fresh and valuable. This was my first online
course, and I found the presentation accessible
and engaging. As well as taking the course
online, I printed it out and reviewed it again
at home, all within the required 10 hours."
"I'm Chair of the Board of two banks
as well as a multi-bank holding company, and
I found no difference whatsoever in the applicability
of the content to banks or community foundations.
If you have a specific meeting goal to meet,
the principals are exactly the same! I'm going
to put the course to good use starting Monday
night when I have a 1-hour bank meeting to
chair. It's going to be a more productive
meeting." |

"Teamwork
Plus! helped me with my own professional development.
Non-profit management is of particular interest,
and I really enjoyed adding to my knowledge
(especially when I could very conveniently
learn from anywhere at any time of day). I
found the Adizes methodology to be challenging
and inspiring. I am ready to learn more!"
"The course has given me a language with
which to talk about management styles, corporate
lifecycles and trust and respect. I see this
could become a language in even our small
foundation (5 full time people) to help us
communicate how to reach shared goals." |

| ¡"Teamwork
Plus! couldn't have come at a better time.
We have a major project underway for a telethon
to develop a fund for kids most in need in
the. This course is extremely helpful and
gave me some pointers on how to marshal voluntary
resources. I have the authority, and since
everyone involved is volunteering, I now know
I need to rely on the influence and power
of all the volunteers to make this telethon
succeed. There is a huge amount of work to
get done before the Telethon on October 25
and I am amazed at the skills and talents
of volunteers coming out of the woodwork to
help. This is my first time with on-line learning.
Working with our Community Foundation is challenging
and a huge learning curve. I haven't been
in any formal learning environment for quite
some time, so this course helped me develop
some new brain cells (as well as strain some
old ones)." |

| "I'm
using ideas in Teamwork Plus! already. The
course shed additional light on why certain
behaviors occur and how to work with them.
I think anyone who uses the course methodology
will be a more effective manager. Although
I've never taken an online course, this first
exposure was easy and productive. It's always
hard to get away from the office and I could
select my own times. The value of this flexibility
is priceless. I couldn't have taken the course
any other way." |

| Teamwork
Plus! is my first on-line course. I can think
of numerous situations over my career where
knowledge of the management map would have
helped my understanding of organizational
problems ... and that understanding would
have led to a greater ability on my part to
bring about a more positive outcome. I'm most
excited about the opportunity to take it forward
from here. Evaluating the PAEI styles within
our organization has helped me see why different
individuals respond to problems as they do,
and how we can harness those different styles
to tackle problems." |

I
enjoyed my first exposure to on-line learning
through "Teamwork Plus! ". The Atherton
Family Foundation makes grants to hundreds
of small Hawaii non-profits and I have looked
for ways to help them develop and improve
their management skills.
We have collaborated for three years with
six other foundations and the Hawaii Business
Roundtable in "The Principals Leadership
Academy". The curriculum has been quite
successful in helping public school principals,
most of who were trained to become teachers,
to learn budgeting, human resource management,
strategic planning, and other normal executive
training. I believe Teamwork Plus! could prove
to be a beneficial tool to round out the executive
skills of these educational leaders.
I can see other nonprofit organizations where
I serve as Board Member which could benefit
from this training and am looking forward
personally to another COF sponsored online
course, Constructive Communications."
